Welcome to our office! Dr. Jon Schaack and Dr. Michelle Freeze provide specialized and personalized care for infants, children, adolescents, and those with special health care needs. At McKinney Pediatric Dentistry, you can trust that we will care for your children like they’re our own.
Here in our office, we have a couple of goals. One is to provide optimal oral health care. The other is to assure that your child has fun! The best way to provide this for your child is to establish a “dental home”.
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) encourage a dental home by the time a child is 12 months old. They define a dental home as “the ongoing relationship between the dentist and the patient” which provides comprehensive oral health care.
You may be wondering why it is so important to establish a dental home for your child. We want your child to enjoy the best oral health possible. To keep your child in good health, we encourage you to visit us regularly for cleanings and exams.
Helping your child feel comfortable visiting the dentist means that you’ll be more successful in maintaining good oral health for that child. If your child is used to visiting us and has early positive experiences with the dentist, he or she is more likely to maintain a healthy mouth throughout his or her life.
Here, your child will receive preventive care, restorative treatment, evaluation of growth and development, coordination with other specialty care (orthodontics, etc) and also emergency treatment when needed.
Choosing McKinney Pediatric Dentistry as your child’s dental home will help assure his/her optimal oral health, and we can have plenty of fun along the way!
We thank you for trusting us and look forward to caring for your child. Please call today to schedule an appointment or to ask us any questions you may have.
